Binoe E. Abuan is an Associate Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, UP Diliman. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2013 and his Doctorate from the University of Sheffield in 2017. He has been serving as a full-time faculty member of the Department since 2013. His research interest is on fluid mechanics particularly on the application of computational fluid dynamics to study renewable energy systems like wind and tidal turbines. His latest research includes tidal turbine blade design and its performance in unsteady flow.
